Homes for All
Let’s face it: where we live shapes every aspect of our lives: what jobs we can get, where our kids go to school, and how safe we feel walking down the street.
We all know that everybody in California should have a home, a place to call their own, to grow a family and community. Homes are critical to creating safety, health, and stability for our families and our state. It is where we lay our heads at night, raise our children, celebrate life’s milestones, and nourish our bodies.
However, real estate tycoons and corporate landlords are dashing the dreams of home for so many Californians, by jacking up rents, evicting families, and pricing out would-be first time home-buyers – causing homelessness and devastation to skyrocket across the state.
By rigging the rules of our housing system to prioritize their profits over our basic need for a safe, healthy and affordable place to call home, corporate landlords, and the politicians that do their bidding, have put California at the heart of the nation’s housing crisis.
Together, we have the power to win real solutions to the housing crisis by voting this election season in support of expanding housing that is affordable, protecting renters from unfair rent hikes or evictions, and electing candidates that will champion housing justice.
